OUR PEOPLE
Since the start of the HIV epidemic 40 years ago, we’ve lost more than 32 million people to AIDS-related illness. Each year during World AIDS Day on December 1, we remember those we’ve lost, continue to increase HIV awareness and knowledge, renew our support for those currently living with HIV, and recognize the groundbreaking work that continues within the community to end the epidemic once and for all.
OUR PEOPLE
Incredible progress has been made over the past four decades of the HIV epidemic. Gone are the “bad old days” of the epidemic when HIV was the leading cause of death for adults in the US between the ages of 25-44. We’re now in an era where people living with HIV can expect to live a long and healthy life.
