WE WON’T STOP INNOVATING

It’s been 40 years since the first diagnosed case of HIV/AIDS. Since then, we have come a long way in HIV treatment and care. Thanks to advances in science and innovation, people living with HIV have options for effective treatment that mean they can expect to live long and healthy lives and achieve an undetectable viral load. This progress is significant; however, we know we must do more to support people living with HIV beyond viral suppression. That’s why we are committed to continue to bring new innovation forward that will contribute towards ending the epidemic.

Our scientists based in Branford, our dedicated HIV facility, on their passion for creating innovative new options for people living with HIV.

THE ROLE OF OUR INNOVATION IN ENDING THE EPIDEMIC

We are leaders in developing innovative new treatment and prevention options for people living with HIV. Find out more below about our science.

As the fight against HIV enters a new chapter, innovation, and the new therapies it brings, has the potential to transform the lives of those living with HIV.

To lift the substantial burdens of daily treatment and social stigma associated with HIV, a cure is essential towards accomplishing our goal of ending the HIV epidemic. With this goal in mind, we are in pursuit of a cure for HIV.

The process of identifying, creating and developing generally well-tolerated and effective innovative HIV therapies is complex and requires ongoing collaboration between research teams that work in many different areas of medicines development.

Thanks to advances in science and innovation, people living with HIV have options for effective treatment that mean they can expect to live long and healthy lives. Find out why understanding the needs and wants of people living with HIV is essential.

Antibodies play a critical role in the immune system’s defence against infection and disease. Broadly neutralising antibodies (bNAbs) are a type of antibody that can recognise and block the entry of a broad range of different strains of HIV into healthy cells.

Diverse voices and experiences matter. Embracing inclusion ensures our medicines work for everyone, advancing us in our mission to leave no person living with HIV behind.
