Women who inject drugs face gender-specific barriers to accessing HIV treatment and care in Nigeria. In response, Society for Family Health, is expanding gender-sensitive harm reduction services to ensure no one living with HIV is left behind.
Supporting harm reduction interventions for stimulant users in Vietnam
In partnership with the Centre for Supporting Community Development Initiatives (SCDI), this project addresses the unique challenge of methamphetamine use among Vietnamese youth, focusing on harm reduction and HIV prevention. Supported by Positive Action, SCDI's program trains outreach workers to build trust and promote safer drug practices.
From Harm to Hope: Harm Reduction in the Fight Against AIDS
Positive Action aims to ensure that effective harm reduction interventions are implemented in high need communities to ensure that no one living with HIV is left behind. In this (RED) Talks Episode, we hear from Jennifer Lotito, President and Chief Operating Officer at (RED), and Jenny Cozins, Director of Strategic Partnerships for Positive Action, who discuss how implementing harm reduction services in priority countries is helping to end the HIV epidemic.
