London, 21 October 2026 – ViiV Healthcare, the global specialist HIV company majority owned by GSK, with Shionogi as a shareholder, today announced that Deborah Waterhouse will step down as Chief Executive Officer of ViiV Healthcare and President of GSK Global Health to join CSL as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. "On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Deborah for her outstanding leadership and significant contributions to ViiV Healthcare and GSK over more than three decades,” said David Redfern, Chairman of the ViiV Board and President, Corporate Development, GSK. “During her tenure as CEO, ViiV advanced important innovations in HIV treatment and prevention, expanded patient access to medicines, delivered sustained business growth, and strengthened its long-term strategic position. As President of GSK Global Health, Deborah also helped advance the organisation’s mission to improve health outcomes in underserved communities through strategic partnerships and sustainable approaches. All of us at ViiV and GSK wish Deborah every success in her new role."

"The Board is pleased to appoint Lynn as Deborah's successor. Her deep experience across the biopharmaceutical industry, proven commercial leadership, and longstanding commitment to patients position her well to lead ViiV Healthcare through its next phase of growth. Having previously led the ViiV US business for six years, Lynn brings a strong understanding of the HIV community, our business, and the opportunities ahead.”

"It has been a privilege to lead ViiV Healthcare and GSK Global Health and work alongside so many talented colleagues, partners, and advocates. Together, we have advanced innovation, expanded access, and improved outcomes for the communities we serve,” said Waterhouse. “I am proud of what we have accomplished and confident that both organisations are well positioned for the future.”

"ViiV Healthcare has reshaped the treatment and prevention landscape for people impacted by HIV,” said Baxter. “I am honoured to take on this role and look forward to working with colleagues around the world to continue advancing innovation."

Deborah will work with Lynn to support a seamless transition.
