At ViiV Healthcare, it is our mission to leave no person living with HIV behind and we work with partners across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, to advocate to maintain HIV as a public health priority. We are delighted to be recognised for our partnership with communities, having been ranked 1st for overall corporate reputation in PatientView’s ‘Corporate Reputation of Pharma – from the Patient Perspective 2021 - 2022’ survey for the ninth year running.
As we began to learn to live with COVID-19, ViiV has continued to call for a reprioritisation of HIV and to target the unmet needs of people living with HIV. This includes continuing to discover, develop and deliver new and innovative therapies, ensuring our clinical trials are representative of all people living with HIV and amplifying the voices, visibility and agency of people living with HIV as we work together with communities to dismantle stigma and discrimination. In addition, ViiV continues to support community-led networks and raise the public policy profile of health-related quality of life (long term well-being).
None of this work is possible without collaboration with communities. We believe in the power of partnership, and through longstanding commitments and programmes including Positive Action. Created in 1992, this was the first pharmaceutical company community-grant giving programme which now celebrates its 30th anniversary. We will continue to work alongside communities as we make progress to achieve the UN target of ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030.
We would like to thank each of our trusted partners, the many people and organisations with whom we work alongside to further our shared goals. We would also like to recognise everyone who took the time to participate and share their views in the survey, which enables us to be held to account on our goal of being here until HIV and AIDS are not.
