Improving quality of life outcomes for people living with HIV (PLHIV) is an established objective in HIV care, and we at ViiV are passionate about making this a reality.
Over the past year, the pandemic has had an impact on all of us, including how we engage with our healthcare teams. As we begin to think about a future beyond the pandemic, many of us are questioning what had changed for good and what we’d like to go back to ‘normal’. We believe that this is an opportunity to proactively shape how improving quality of life in healthcare can be at the heart of the ‘new normal’ in HIV care going forward
Following IAS 2021, an esteemed panel of physicians, community representatives and advocates, and policy makers came together to discuss this important issue and reflect on the various quality of life discussions from the congress. The result was a framework to help translate aspirations for better quality of life in HIV care into real-world policies and actions that can make an impact.
