AIDS 2026 will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 26-31 July 2026. We'll be attending to present the latest data from our industry-leading portfolio and pipeline, and also connect with our community partners from around the world.
SHOWCASING OUR INSTI-LED PORTFOLIO & PIPELINE
ViiV Healthcare will showcase a robust body of clinical trial data and real-world evidence that reflects our commitment to developing HIV treatment and prevention options people want and need.
This will include 20 abstracts accepted from sponsored studies, featuring 1 oral presentation and 19 in-person posters, and 12 abstracts from supported and collaborative studies – comprising 4 oral presentations and 8 in-person posters. Together, these contributions underscore the depth and impact of our scientific programme and our leadership in HIV innovation.
PARTNERING FOR IMPACT
Partnering with the community remains central to how ViiV Healthcare drives meaningful impact. At AIDS 2026, we’re supporting several community activations throughout the conference.
Symposium: Future care is shared: Redefining peer support
Join ViiV Healthcare and leading experts from around the world on Tuesday 28 July (12-1pm, Convention Centre, room 204 or virtually on SAT06, channel/room 204) for a thought-provoking, dynamic and action-orientated session exploring the transformative role of peer support both now and in the future of HIV care.
Tackle HIV
ViiV Healthcare will bring its Tackle HIV campaign, in conjunction with former Welsh and British Lions rugby captain Gareth Thomas, to AIDS 2026 to continue to raise awareness and educate the wider public about HIV and address HIV-related stigma. At the heart of our on-site presence will be a main stage session in the Global Village on Monday 27 July, highlighting the power of sport to challenge stigma and shift public attitudes towards HIV, featuring a range of voices from the community, including Gareth. In addition, Gareth will host an off-site educational event at Ipanema, in conjunction with Brasil Rugby and local HIV advocacy partners in the form of rugby-related activities.
HIV Unwrapped
We’re proud to continue supporting HIV Unwrapped, an initiative that explores the intersection between HIV science, innovation and visual artistry – envisioning new creative responses to HIV while paying tribute to how artistic expression helps shape the scientific, medical, cultural and political response to HIV.
Through the re-imagination of the lab coat, ten leading speakers from AIDS 2026 and ten emerging fashion design students from Faculdade Santa Marcelina in Sao Paolo are coming together to create ten bespoke garments with the latest in HIV science.
