INSPIRING STORIES FROM PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV
Listening to the voices of people living with HIV - sharing and amplifying their aspirations and unmet needs - is an important step in ViiV Healthcare’s ambition to make HIV a smaller part of people’s lives. The Positive Perspectives study, sponsored by ViiV Healthcare and developed in collaboration with an international, multi-disciplinary Advisory Committee, explores these same topics. Results from the Positive Perspectives study, along with the videos below featuring people living with HIV, indicate that open dialogue with healthcare providers about challenges with HIV care and treatment may help improve some aspects of quality of life beyond viral suppression.1 Watch the videos below to learn from Tom, Moritz, Helen and Xiana and visit our PLHIV section to see even more stories from people living with HIV.
Tom is from London and has been living with HIV since 2011. Watch his story to learn how he has educated himself about HIV care and treatment so that he can help educate others.

One of the largest, global, HIV patient-reported outcomes studies to date, Positive Perspectives 2 includes input from a diverse group of 2,389 people living with HIV, aged 18 – 84 from 25 countries; the research was developed in collaboration with an international, multi-disciplinary Advisory Committee including PLHIV, HCPs and representatives from HIV support groups. The study investigates how people living with HIV rate their own health, how living with HIV impacts their lives and affects their outlook for the future, examines their interactions and relationships with HCPs and their experiences with antiretroviral therapy. The insights gained from the study can help address the unmet needs and challenges faced by people living with HIV and contribute towards improving quality of life.
