OPTIMISING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV

Attendees joined us from around the world at AIDS 2020: Virtual to discover the latest findings from the Positive Perspectives Wave 2 Study. Topics explored and discussed in this session include:

  • Positive Perspectives Wave 2 (PP2) overview of study
  • Manifesting change - Optimising quality of life for people living with HIV
  • An update on UNAIDS 90:90:90 targets

Our expert panellists looked beyond viral suppression in order to include quality of life within definitions of health. They discussed the changes needed to ensure people living with HIV can thrive –identifying legislative reform, policy integration and holistic HIV care as key contributors. UNAIDS updated us on their 90:90:90 targets. Sharing that, despite missing the 2020 targets, they are now more driven than ever to end HIV and improve quality of life for all.

“We need to make sure people’s quality of life is not just protected, but enhanced.”
